Brute Force Twitter scammers fire back with a cease and desist order
Last Friday’s blog post, in which I exposed Brute Force Twitter as a scam and revealed its so called secrets step by step, has ruffled a few feathers. Regular readers will know that Upstart Blogger is no stranger to controversy having had near legal encounters with many self appointed gurus who happen to get annoyed when I burst their bubble and ask difficult questions.
Don’t worry. This latest cease and desist order, despite being issued by an apparently legitimate legal representative, will be filed where it belongs, in the waste paper basket with all the rest.
That’s not arrogance. And it certainly isn’t ignorance. It’s simply an understanding of what I am, and am not, legally allowed to do.
Brute Force Twitter is a scam. Plain and simple. I acquired the ebook and it’s associated comedy videos, read the book and watched the videos, digested the information and then shared with the world a couple of things. Firstly I shared what I had learned. Secondly I shared my opinions.
And there is nothing on earth that can legally prevent me from sharing things I that I know or feel.
The cease and desist order made entertaining reading since it asked me to stop distributing the Brute Force Twitter ebook and video download pack on my blog. Maybe they didn’t read the blog post. I’m not distributing anything. I’m just sharing learned information and considered opinion.
Ironically, my Twitter account is receiving a reasonable amount of attention because of my choice to expose Brute Force Twitter. And, as you might expect, traffic to Upstart Blogger is up, both as a result of all the Twitter traffic I’m receiving and also because of Google searches for, you’ve guessed it, Brute Force Twitter.
Of course, when people arrive here looking for Brute Force Twitter, they are probably a little surprised at what they find.
I’m confident, however, that those people leave Upstart Blogger having learned that making money online isn’t about get rich quick scams. It’s about building traffic and relationships with carefully applied, logically thought out, steps.
Twitter is, and I’m happy to admit to being wrongly sceptical in the past, a powerful way to generate traffic for your blog. But the traffic you generate will only be of value, will only be of use to you, if you network intelligently and build your following and your followers in an intelligent way.
Use Twitter correctly and it will reward you. Apply brute force to Twitter and you’ll look an idiot. And no amount of cease and desist orders will ever prevent that from being the case.
Nice one Ashley.
I’ll never get my head round why people fall for these blatant scams.
Glad you’re enjoying your Twitter experience more!
I don’t have twitter. Brute Force Twitter is by far the most exaggerated crap I’ve ever read (from reading your other post). I’ve seen so many money making programs before and BFT tops it all. Glad I didnt bother with buying those fictitious crap and went with your 30 day blogging course (though I’m slow because Im not comp smart and have 3 low paid jobs). I just think blogging (your way) is by far honest and realistic and is REAL WORK. Period.
If you need to start a legal defense fund, let us know. I’ll contribute. You do us a great service by exposing these snake oil products. If only everyone with your online stature would do the same.
Thank you for the information, Ashley. I am fairly new to Twitter so it’s good to know what’s going on.
Go Ashley! Your post is absolutely superb! I’m impressed on all counts: For ONE, I’ve always advocated quality first, then quantity. TWO: Before a purchase, you’ll find me opening up new browser windows to check for complaints, reviews, reputable info and, THREE: It was pretty convincing to see the terms I’ve searched about it on your page! Thanks. I’ll definitely try upstart blogger!
