Why I’m not selling Upstart Blogger on Flippa
The more astute amongst you will have already figured out last Friday’s little riddle. It’s true. Upstart Blogger is for sale. And yes, this is the second time that I find myself trying to sell Upstart Blogger since December 2009. Having already received some third party investment I felt, wrongly with the benefit of hindsight, that things would progress positively and that I would slowly but surely get back into the blogging habit. But... Read More
Better 31 days late than never
Everyone who reads Upstart Blogger regularly knows that a lot has happened in the last couple of months. I’ve pulled products, opened the blog up to new authors and started to make some huge changes behind the scenes that will become more obvious as 2010 progresses. Usually I would write a post such as this at the beginning of the year but I wanted to take a little time to let a few things settle into place before setting anything in stone. Now,... Read More
The ink isn’t dry yet…

Upstart Blogger is for sale
After a reasonably long period of contemplation I have decided to sell Upstart Blogger. Upstart Blogger currently receives an average daily unique visitor count of 10,576 generating a total daily average page view count of 36,231 and has a Google Page Rank of 7. Income is generated by a combination of hosting advertisements and sponsored text links. Approximately 97% of income is generated by hosting advertisements. Serious prospective purchasers... If you can’t beat them join them
Before I close the blogging door behind me for the last time I just wanted to make a small announcement about an opportunity that may be of interest to some Upstart Blogger contributors. Upstart Blogger, right from the moment I purchased it a few years ago, has always been a money making entity. I have always used advertising, most obviously promoting AN Hosting, to drive a substantial income from this blog and it is my intention to continue to do... Read More
Final resolution
2010 is the year when Upstart Blogger ascends to a higher online plane as it morphs into its new role as a multi author blogazine. Furthermore, 2010 is the year when I move away from Upstart Blogger to focus on my music career. Both of these decisions have left many people surprised and, furthermore, resulted in many questions being asked. This post, my last of 2009, will attempt to answer some of those questions whilst laying out my plans in more... Read More
Something wicked this way comes
I decided a few nights ago to open the door to the Upstart Blogger laboratory and begin work on something new, something revolutionary, something that will split the blogosphere and tear apart the old order. I have created a monster. Coming soon to Upstart Blogger. All will be revealed in time. Read More →
Upstart Blogger income statement for October 2008
It’s that time again. Time to reveal the figures and show how much traffic and money was generated by this blog in October 2008. Unique visitors are up, but very slightly, to 51,212. Likewise, my page views crept up a little to 101,094. And, unsurprisingly, my income was only up a small amount at $4,516. This is almost $500 short of my target for October. Alexa, Technorati and all the other ranking services continue to bounce me around like... Read More
Upstart Blogger Reloaded
With all the talk of change that is filling the air all over the world I thought that today would be a fitting day to flick the switch and officially launch the new look for Upstart Blogger. What you see in front of you is a clean break away from the design that has been this blogs home for the last year and the start of an important transition. It wasn’t a decision that I took lightly but it needed to be taken. From today, through 2009 and... Read More
Relaunching a blog as a magazine
Redesigning your blog is a quick and easy way to boost traffic. But what if you need something a little bit more substantial, something with a little more gravity? Every blog, and therefore every blogger, eventually reaches the stage where they need to push things to the next level. As a blog grows so does it’s content. And that content needs to be managed in a way that makes it accessible to the growing number of readers. Furthermore,... Read More
