I’ve updated Upstart Blogger Modio to version 0.3. This version now supports WordPress 2.3, adding tags to the meta information on individual posts, and should fix a problem with the rollover menu in IE7.

I don’t usually go out of my way to recommend WordPress themes designed by other people, but there are so few magazine-style WordPress themes (see my own Upstart Blogger Futurosity Altera) that the release of The Morning After, by Arun Kale of The Master Plan, is worth a special mention. If Futurosity Altera isn’t what you’re looking for, The Morning After might be just the ticket.

If you have a problem or question with one of my themes, please start here. Even if you’re using another theme, you might give it a quick look, since I answer some basic questions about customizing WordPress themes.

I had several requests to release the previous Upstart Blogger design as a WordPress theme. The design was never intended to be released publicly because there’s too much hard code in the theme files. Personally, it’s not one of my favorite designs so I’m not interested in investing the time necessary to clean up the code. Even if you’re not interested in using it, though, it might be worth taking a look to see how I’ve done some things (included MooTools, for example).
