Note: It has been reported that this template doesn’t work properly in Opera. If anyone has a fix, please let me know and I’ll update the template.
The latest version, 0.3, should work in Opera.
how i can install this template ?
please anwser me.
sorry for my bad english.
To install a Pligg template, upload the template folder to your Pligg /template folder. Then:
That’s it!
Hi, I like both your templates but I’m having a problem in IE7 with them. In fact the same problem is also visible in Furosity, so I suspect it has to do with the templates. IE7 gives a warning message at the bottom of the page that says:
Line 127, Character 2, Object Reqired, Code 0
Firefox doesn’t seem to be giving this error message.
Jamie, I’m aware of the problem in IE7, but I haven’t fixed it. The template works fine. It’s not easy for me to troubleshoot it on the Mac and IE7 seems to be more particular than other browsers.
Is there anything else that I need to do to the code to get it to work because right now when I click on one of them it just returns all the stories and not just the ones in the selected time period
I just installed this template and I have a bit of a problem. When I go to admin, I get no admin functions.
Can you tell where I might manually edit which template I wish to use so I can go back to one of the stock templates?
Thanks,
Jim
Jim, that’s very odd. First, check that you’ve uploaded all of the files for the template, especially the files in the /admin_templates/ subfolder. If you can see the rest of the template, but not the admin panel, you may be missing a file.
If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to change it manually in your database. I don’t know what kind of setup you have with your host, but you probably have phpMyAdmin (go to the MySQL area of your control panel). Find your pligg database and open the config table. Then edit the Template variable.
Hope that helps.
Hi
How do replace the PLIGG at the top left hand corner with an Image?
Also the pligg should be replaced with my “MySite” after I edit Langauge but it is not.
Any explanation
Besides that very good template. Will give credits on footer, when I am done
Thanks
To replace PLIGG or to add an image, you can edit the header.tpl file.
i filed the following on pligg forums:
I have run the installation and everything has gone superb, I even added some articles and published a few
Problem comes when I try to use the navigation links. I keep getting this error message The requested URL /shakeit.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
this happens with the following tabs:
Unpublished —-http://….com/shakeit ——– http://…..com/shakeit.php?part=upcoming&order=1
All Categories — http://….com/all
Category A ——–http://…..com/A
I am using url method 1, I tried 2 and it even got worse, I couldn’t acces even profile or admin when method 2 was on,
What could be the problem?
I am using the futurepligg_03 template
———————————————————–
And I got this reponse:
First off, I’m not sure what version of Pligg you are running but the FuturePligg template is not 100% compatible with Pligg 9.1. The other problem is that Pligg 9.1 uses upcoming.php instead of shakeit.php. For some reason your installation is still looking for shakeit. You can rename upcoming.php to shakeit.php and it should work fine.
can you please help me!
Here is my site link, once you have reviewed the problem you can remove it http://afrokick.com
Thank you
Panicomg24, I just updated the template today to fix the problem you’re reporting. Just download the new version of the template, FuturePligg 0.4. It should fix all of the problems you’re having.
Thanks mate will look into that ASAP.
I use FuturePligg template 05, I can’t upload avatar for my profile (I can upload if I use yget template)
mbug, what happens when you try to upload an avatar? What browser are you using?
I used IE 7. The screen is flashing like done uploading. But it didn’t show up the avatar.
mbug, until I can post an update with the fix, try this:
In /sidebar_modules/loggin_in.tpl replace src=”{$Avatar_ImgSrc}” with src=”{$Current_User_Avatar_ImgSrc}”.
I’m having the same problem as mbug: with yget I can upload avatars, but with this template (thanks a lot for the effort anyway, I really like it), the image doesn’t even upload on the server, the fix you told is just to show the avatars on the site, but if they cannot be uploaded, it’s no use…
I can try and compare the files where the uploading is and try and figure out what’s wrong, but if anyone could guide me so that I won’t break anything, that would be great :)
Okay, I’m aware of the avatar issue, but I don’t have a fix yet.
It’s a pity… I had managed to make the whole thing xhtml valid and remove some vestiges from digitalnature :)

If I happen to find a fix, I will post it here asap.
Thanks again for the template :)
Fixed:
I just took the profile_center.tpl file from yget and overwrote with it the one existing in the futurepligg05 folder :)
If users are changing their avatars, they will need to press control + F5 to refresh the page and see the changes.
Sorry about posting again, but I found another fix:
When viewing a profile in IE7, you have to scroll down a lot to actually see the information.
In has to do with the “wrapper” div, whose style says:
#wrapper {
position: relative;
min-height:100%;
height:auto !important; /* ie ignores it */
height:100%; /* fix */
min-width:780px; /* if anyone finds a acceptable solution to emulate this in IE, please let me know… */
}
Actually, you only have to change the last line and put max-with instead. That is:
#wrapper {
position: relative;
min-height:100%;
height:auto !important; /* ie ignores it */
height:100%; /* fix */
max-width:780px;
}
It fixes the issue for IE7 at least.
Thanks, CalÃtoe.:.. Your site is looking good!
:) Thanks.
Hi,
Splendid template. :)
But it seems not compatible with the most recent version 9.5.
Have you an idea when a new version will be - eventually - updated ?
(topStory, recent… etc…)
Thanx,
Thanks, Dominik. It’s on my list of things to do. Maybe next week…
nice template for pligg.. I guess we need much more social support for templates
I am a great fan of your Pligg Templates, so if you need someone to beta-test them, here I am. My main issue is getting to know the variables and placing them, but when I see them placed I know how to alter the code around to render valid XHTML if they give problems with that.
Thanks for your effort!
Thanks, Calitoe. I should have updated versions of the templates up sometime next week and I’ll look forward to your feedback.
