Free Pligg Template: UpstartAqueous

Robert EllisPligg113 Comments

Note: This template is NOT compatible with the latest version of Pligg. Please see Pligg Templates Update Status.

I recently ported my old blog Futurosity from WordPress to Pligg. Since so few templates were available, I adapted the Solemnity template from Six Shooter Media, hacking the design into the default Pligg template from Digital Nature (I’ve already posted the Free Pligg Template: FuturePligg Solemnity).

UpstartAqueous

This new template, UpstartAqueous, is also based on the Digital Nature template and another great template from Six Shooter Media.

I’m making this new template available for download, but be warned: Like FuturePligg Solemnity, it’s a hack job. I ported this template mostly to learn a bit more about Pligg; unfortunately, I don’t have time to clean things up. As far as I can tell, everything works, but it needs tweaking. Most of the problems are cosmetic and you’ll probably make your own changes (styling the links to your liking, etc.).

Here’s a preview (click to enlarge):

UpstartAqueous01.jpg

You’ll find a list of things you should change below. I may have overlooked something; if I have, please post a comment. If you download UpstartAqueous, please do post a comment if you run into a problem and make the changes available if you fix them. Oh, and do check out Futurosity and become a member!

Download

Download UpstartAqueous

Note: The latest version of this template is for Pligg beta 9.1. Make sure you’re running the correct version of Pligg, or you may encounter problems.

You can download the template, Upstart Aqueous 0.4 (updated 4.2.07), by clicking here. After unzipping, upload the entire UpstartAqueous04 folder to your /templates/ directory.

Be sure to subscribe to Upstart Blogger to be notified of updates!

Instructions

Before installing the UpstartAqueous template, you’ll want to edit a few template files. The template files end in .tpl and can be edited in any text editor.

  1. In header.tpl, you’ll want to change the name and description.
  2. In pligg.tpl, you’ll want to change the description for your site and the favorite links (they’re in pligg.tpl).
  3. Edit the footer.tpl file to add your copyright information and add any stats tracking code you use. Please keep the design credits intact! Thank you.

You’ll find more information about Pligg template files in Understanding Pligg Template Files.

Installation

After uploading the template folder:

  1. Open /templates/templates.tpl and add this line (on one line; no line breaks):
    Upstart Aqueous
  2. Go to your admin area.
  3. Click on Configure [YourPliggName].
  4. Click on Template .
  5. Under Template, click on the name next to value (if you haven’t already changed templates, this will say digitalnature).
  6. Type in UpstartAqueous04 and click Save.

That’s it!

Known Issues

The following issues are known. I don’t have time to track them down right now. If you come up with a fix, let me know and I’ll update the template and make it available for everyone.

  1. The login area of the sidebar doesn’t align properly. The problem has to be simple, but I haven’t tracked it down. Arrrg! [Fixed for Safari in 0.2]
  2. IE7 reports three errors. It’s torture to troubleshoot this in VirtualPC, and everything seems to work, so I’d appreciate it if a Windows user could help fix this.
  3. There are some alignment problems with the feed icons in IE7. This is a problem in the Digital Nature template as well. Any ideas?
  4. Uploading of avatars is broken.

License

This template is released under the same terms as the Aqueous template. Please see the README file.

Please keep the footer links giving credit to Digital Nature, Six Shooter Media, and Furturosity/Upstart Blogger.

History

0.1 Original port.
0.2 Fixed login alignment in Safari. Eliminated two IE7 errors by deleting unused Java scripts. Updated for Pligg beta 9.1.
0.3 Fixed broken links for upcoming pages.
0.4 4.2.07

  1. Added Published submenu to header (accidently deleted in 0.3).
  2. Fixed missing avatars (this was an old Pligg bug that snuck into the template).
  3. Fixed last IE 7 error by removing unused Javascript (at least, I hope it wasn’t being used anywhere!). There’s still an error on the Live page, but it seems to be a bug in live.php.
  4. Fixed Category links.
  5. Removed RSS icons from Category links (I’ve been unable to fix the alignment in IE 7 and I notice that yget doesn’t use them). If you still want to use them, replace /sidebar_modules/category.tpl with /sidebar_modules/category_rss.tpl (i.e., delete category.tpl and rename category_rss.tpl to category.tpl).
  6. Modified footer to condense credits. I’ve deleted the credit for Digital Nature since by now I have cut and paste code from yget as well and Pligg is already credited. Please leave these intact. Thank you.

Again, if you have any problems, please post a comment. Enjoy!

    Sorry, haven’t had time to work on it yet. I’ll post an updated version of the template when I find a fix.

    You’ll have to be more specific about what kind of help you’re looking for.

  5. Kyle Kava added these pithy words on 05 Feb 07

    just take a look at my site at www.theintechpodcast.com/expose the side bar’s at the bottom theres no home button. mainly just layout issues. I need some help because I like the template but i have no idea how to code in php

  6. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 05 Feb 07

    Kyle, I can tell by looking at your site that you’ve probably done something to the CSS. I can’t troubleshoot it for you, but If you’ve been making changes without really knowing what you’re doing I’d suggest downloading the template again and then comparing the original CSS file to your modified version. Look particularly at the width attributes. If that doesn’t work, look at the main .tpl files and see if you’ve done something to a tag there.

    Good luck!

  7. Kyle Kava added these pithy words on 05 Feb 07

    Thanks a lot! everything worked except for fixing the home button but i can fix that easily i hope. Thanks again, great template

    i dont think i understand your fix for the topstories.php problem it says to correct line 85 but when i open the file there is no line 85 it only goes to 30

    You may be confusing topstories_center.tpl with topstories.php, which is found in the root folder of your Pligg installation. You want to edit topstories.php.

  10. Kyle Kava added these pithy words on 05 Feb 07

    thanks that worked

    How do you get the nav bar to display this month this week ect?

    You’ll find it in index_center.tpl, the lines that look like this:

    {if $setmeka eq "month"}

  13. {#PLIGG_Visual_This_Month#}
  14. {else}

  15. {#PLIGG_Visual_This_Month#}

  20. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Feb 07

    What should I do with the code above because it is not located in the file by default

    Mark, you’ll have to tell me what you’re trying to do. The code is in the index_center.tpl file and you should be able to put it in other *_center.tpl files if you want, though it may or may not work as expected.

    what program do I use to open .tpl files?

    Peter, you can use any text editor to edit .tpl files, as long as it saves plain text (e.g., don’t try to edit them with Word).

  21. Mark added these pithy words on 10 Feb 07

    That code is not in the file when you download it

  22. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 10 Feb 07

    That code is not in the file when you download it

    Mark, you’re right. I’m sorry for the confusion; I was looking at my other template, FuturePligg Solemnity. In UpstartAqueous, the code you are looking for is in the header.tpl file. You can move it to the index_center.tpl file if you’d rather display it under the header navigation menu. Take a look at the FuturePligg template to see an example.

    Carlos: From the instructions for the Embed Videos Module:

    If you have this error: [Fatal error: TPL: [in ../modules/embed_videos/templates/link_summary_pre_story_content.tpl line 203]: syntax error: embedvideos function does not exist (class.compiler.php, line 473) in] then you need to move the /modules/embed_videos/plugins file(s) into /plugins

    Hi

    When you say that you ported your blog over to Pligg, was this an automatic process that you set up, or a cut and paste each article?

    I am thinking of converting some blogs to Pligg, but will be doing it all manually unless there is a simple solution. My blogs are Blogger not Wordpress btw.

    Cheers,

    Jon.

  31. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 24 Feb 07

    Jon, I didn’t port my blog to Pligg, I just ported the template to a Pligg template. My blog still runs on WordPress.

    Sorry, I don’t know of an easy way to port your blog entries from Blogger to Pligg.

  32. ozo added these pithy words on 02 Mar 07

    Hi. I would like to know how to get the category section on the left side bar to the right side bar. I have tried tweaking this but to no avail. I would really appreciate this.

    I hope I get notified via mail….

  33. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 02 Mar 07

    Ozo: To move the categories from the left sidebar to the right, you’ll need to move some code from sidebar.tpl to pligg.tpl and then change your CSS.

    1. Open sidebar.tpl. Find these lines of code:

      {if $cat_array neq ""}
      {assign var=sidebar_module value="categories"}{include file=$the_template_sidebar_modules."/wrapper2.tpl"}
      {/if}

    2. Open pligg.tpl. Scroll down and find

      You can paste the category code anywhere you like in this div.

    3. Finally, you’ll need to edit your CSS. I don’t have time to do this for you, but you should be able to figure out how to tweak it by looking at the existing CSS.

    Good luck!

  34. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    I have the exact code as above but I cannot even see the categories on the left sidebar

  35. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    I have the exact code as above but I cannot even see the categories on the left sidebar

    You don’t see categories anywhere? Are we talking about the same template (not my other Pligg template, FuturePligg Solemnity?

  36. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Yes my site is www.theintechpodcast.com/expose and theres no categories on my sidebar

  37. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Mark, there are a couple of things to check.

    First, do you have the latest version of the template (it was updated about a week ago)?

    Second, check sidebar.tpl to make sure you have these lines:

    {if $cat_array neq ""}
    {assign var=sidebar_module value="categories"}{include file=$the_template_sidebar_modules."/wrapper2.tpl"}
    {/if}

    If you have those lines in sidebar.tpl, check to make sure you have a file /UpstartAqueous02/sidebar_modules/categories.tpl. If not, download the template again and install this file.

    Good luck!

  38. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Ok i have not updated yet. when i do can I keep my pligg file with my site des.?

  39. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    I just updated and the php code is in sidebar.php but it still wont show up

  40. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Mark, I’m stumped. There’s no reason the categories shouldn’t show up. I would need to see your files to troubleshoot it. But I suspect you’ve edited something because there’s something wrong with your nav. It only displays Upcoming Sites. Maybe you accidently deleted something that you need for displaying categories?

  41. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    What version of pligg is this made for?

  42. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Actually ive been running a very old version of pligg i will update it and let you know what happens

  43. Mark added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Yes that fixed everything. You ought to put that at the top to update because not only will you run into these probs you also run into things like: fatal error: checkactionstpl doesnt exist and then you have to go through all the files and delete that. But after the update everything works

  44. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Mark, if you’re using the latest version of the template, you should be running Pligg beta 9.1.

  45. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 09 Mar 07

    Mark, good suggestion. I’ve updated the post to remind people they should be using Pligg beta 9.1. Thanks!

  46. Mark added these pithy words on 10 Mar 07

    One last problem: i get a 404 error when I click on upcomming the link to that is http://www.theintechpodcast.com/exposesite/shakeit.php?part=upcoming

  47. Mark added these pithy words on 10 Mar 07

    also when that categories are clicked on what are they supposed to do?

  48. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    Mark, you’re getting the error because Pligg beta 9.1 doesn’t use shakeit.php. I must have missed that when updating the template. Until I get a chance to fix it, just go in and replace all instances of shakeit.php with upcoming.php. That should fix it.

  49. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    also when that categories are clicked on what are they supposed to do?

    If you click on one of the categories, it should take you to a page displaying only posts in that category.

  50. Mark added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    Ok right now when I click to takes me to /(category name)

  51. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    Mark, that’s what it’s supposed to do. You won’t see anything if you don’t have any entries for the category.

  52. Mark added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    When I click on one that I know has a story it returns a 404 error

  53. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 11 Mar 07

    Mark, there’s probably a problem with your .htaccess file. Try turning off friendly URLs. Unfortunately, if that works, it has nothing to do with the template and I can’t help you. Good luck!

    Thanks for the heads up bout Geenstijl. Looks like an interesting site. I saw there were some comments on a post that links to Upstart Blogger, but I have no idea what people said.

    I can’t make anyone give me (or more importantly, since this template is a port based on the work of two other designers, anyone else) credit. It’s just the decent thing to do. This kind of thing just discourages people from taking the time to create templates and make them available for free. I thank everyone who is using the template and leaves the credits intact!

  62. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 19 Mar 07

    Eddie, to change the look of the site, look in the .tpl files for the tags, then edit the main.css file. For the header, it sounds like you want to change the subnav formatting, so just look in the CSS file and change the background color.

  63. Brian Gilley added these pithy words on 21 Mar 07

    Hi there, I appreciate the excellent theme. I had a couple of questions.

    You said: “You may be confusing topstories_center.tpl with topstories.php, which is found in the root folder of your Pligg installation. You want to edit topstories.php”

    I tried to find the “topstories.php” file in the root of Pligg and it’s not there. I’m running 9.1 which I just downloaded from Pligg/Sourceforge two days ago.

    I know it’s not there in that version of Pligg that I downloaded. Is it not used now in Pligg or this theme?

    Question #2:

    Our site has some links at the top of the page and elsewhere that do not work while running this theme.

    1) Top Nav - Unpublished (0)
    2) Vote for stories link (http://www.socialseo.com/shakeit.php?part=upcoming&order=1)

    and several others. I’m using friendly URLs and method #2 for URLmethod.

    I would love a little help if you (or someone else) had a few seconds to respond.

    Thanks!!

  64. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 21 Mar 07

    Brian, thanks for your comment. The info about topstories.php is no longer relevant. Beta 9.1 did away with that.

    Also, the problem you’re having with broken links is probably due to another change in Beta 9.1. It no longer uses shakeit.php. You can replace shakeit.php with upcoming.php and things should work. I’ll post a fix for this. If you still have a problem after updating to Upstart Aqueous 0.3, it’s a problem with your .htaccess file.

    Thanks for bringing these issues to my attention!

  65. Brian Gilley added these pithy words on 21 Mar 07

    Hi Robert,
    I tried to simply replace the topstories.php with upcoming.php and the header links broke in the theme. See:

    http://socialseo.com/upcoming.php?part=upcoming&order=1

    If you strip everything after the “?” then it works. We tried several .htaccess changes but with now luck. Hopefully we’ll find a workaround… :(

    I’ve been using a modified version of your UpstartAqueous template and am having problems with Category links as well. I’ve been following this thread with Brian and his site appears to be working now but I still can’t figure out the cure.

    View at www.poolies.tv.

    Cheers

    I’ve been using a modified version of your UpstartAqueous template and am having problems with Category links as well.

    Scot, I’m pretty sure this is a problem with your .htaccess file. Double check your settings for friendly URLs and your category settings to make sure you’ve modified your .htaccess file properly.

  68. Scot added these pithy words on 29 Mar 07

    Robert

    I’ve tried updating the htaccess file but still no luck, but I’m assuming I made the right adjustments. I’m using friendly URLs and changed to URLMethod 2, then inserted the code found in the Category Manager as suggested, but no luck.

    Another issue I have ismy subnav menu is not appearing (Unpublished, etc.). I may have messed this up in the header.tpl when I added the main menu links. Is this possible?

    Thx

  69. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 29 Mar 07

    Scot, I’m sorry I can’t help with the friendly URLs. I haven’t been able to get them to work on my own site. I’ll have another attempt when I find the time.

    The Unpublished, etc., subnav menu is not in the header.tpl file (the admin subnav is in header.tpl). The subnav you’re referring to needs to be in the *_center.tpl file. It isn’t in all of them. You can see it in upcoming_center.tpl, for example.

  70. Scot added these pithy words on 29 Mar 07

    Robert

    Got my links working…

    I’ll work on the subnav. Are you saying the code exists somewhere but for some reason just isn’t appearing in my *_center.tpl file?

    Thx

  71. Scot added these pithy words on 29 Mar 07

    Robert

    I could be wrong, but the code you speak of in the upcoming_center.tpl file is for the links appearing in the _centre allright, but this is not the same as the code that appears as a subnav under “Home/Login/Register” and as seen in your screenshot above.

    The code I’m looking for refers to “Unpublished (0) /This Month/This Week” etc.” If it’s not in the header.tpl or pligg.tpl files I’m stumped. Do you kno wif it requires changing language setting in the admin panel, or turning something on or off in there?

    Thx

  72. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 29 Mar 07

    Scot, I see what you mean. I don’t have time to work on this now, but I suspect I may accidently have deleted some links when I updated the template to 0.3. Until I can fix this, you can add the following code to the header.tpl file after {if $isadmin eq 1}…{/if}:

      {if $pagename eq “upcoming”}
      {#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Sort_News_By#}:
      {if $paorder eq “” || $paorder eq “newest”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Newest_St#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Newest_St#}{/if} |
      {if $paorder eq “oldest”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Oldest_St#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Oldest_St#}{/if} |
      {if $paorder eq “mostpopular”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Most_Pop#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Most_Pop#}{/if} |
      {if $paorder eq “leastpopular”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Least_Pop#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Least_Pop#}{/if} |

      {elseif $pagename neq “story”}
      {if $Voting_Method eq 1}
      {#PLIGG_Visual_Pligg_Sort_News_By#}:
      {if $setmeka eq “” || $setmeka eq “recent”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Recently_Pop#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Recently_Pop#}{/if} |
      {if $setmeka eq “today”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Top_Today#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Top_Today#}{/if} |
      {if $setmeka eq “yesterday”}{#PLIGG_Visual_Yesterday#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_Yesterday#}{/if} |
      {if $setmeka eq “week”}{#PLIGG_Visual_This_Week#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_This_Week#}{/if} |
      {if $setmeka eq “month”}{#PLIGG_Visual_This_Month#}{else}{#PLIGG_Visual_This_Month#}{/if} |
      {/if}

    Thanks for the lead, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I suspect we’re close though.

    Thanks again…

    Hi. Great template. I was testing it on one of my websites and was able to install it in a breeze. A slight problem though. I cannot figure out how I can remove the “About this site” section on the right, the one which describes Futurosity. I believe it is a sidebar or something. Could you please tell me how I can remove it since I want my users to only see the left sidebar with my brand name on it.

    Thanks in advance.
    Sagar.

  75. Sagar added these pithy words on 02 Apr 07

    I am also not able to modify the text at top-left - “UpstartAqueous” to my liking. I also want to remove the text “Portend by Futurosity/Upstart Blogger” at top-center.

    Please tell me how I can achieve all of the above.

    Thanks again.
    Sagar.

  76. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 02 Apr 07

    Sagar, you can delete the “About This Site” section by editing pligg.tpl. If you don’t want to use the right sidebar at all, delete this line: {include file=$tpl_right_sidebar.”.tpl”}.

    To delete the “Ported by Futurosity” header, edit header.tpl.

    Note that I’ll be releasing a new version this week, which should fix a couple bugs.

  77. Sagar added these pithy words on 02 Apr 07

    That’s great Robert. Thanks for your help :)

    Sagar.

  78. Sagar added these pithy words on 02 Apr 07

    Hey, sorry to bother you again. I just noticed something so I thought I’d tell you.

    http://bandoora.liveya.org/register.php
    http://bandoora.liveya.org/login.php?return=/register.php

    If you look at the above two pages, you can see that the textboxes on the two forms aren’t clear. Since there is no border and background color is white, the boxes are not at all visible. Anyway I can fix it? Or are you going to fix it in the upcoming release? This happens practically everywhere with the forms.

    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sagar.

  79. Sagar added these pithy words on 02 Apr 07

    Update: I found the way around. I got into the various TPL files and fixed it :)

    Could you help me out with this one:
    When the stories are being displayed on the home page or otherwise, how can I make the “View Profile” and “Add to Friends” links appear always without having to click on the user’s Avatar?

    Regards,
    Sagar

  81. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 04 Apr 07

    Sagar, I’m sorry I don’t have the time to do it for you. But I would look in link_summary.tpl. I think you’ll find the code there.

  82. Knox added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    hey guys i’ve just installed pligg on my site..
    however i can’t seem to upload any avatar..
    what are the size restrictions?
    or can anyone explain why my avatar is not uploaded?
    only default avatar works..
    thanks!

  83. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    Knox, I’m now aware of this issue, but I don’t have a fix yet.

  84. Knox added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    hey i’ve found a fix for it on the forums..
    one more question..
    how do you change the page title and the left sidebars?
    i can’t seem to find it..

  85. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    Knox: Oh, yeah? What was the fix? Where did you see it in the forums?

    To change the page title, edit header.tpl (unless you mean the title in the browser, which is in pligg.tpl). To change the left sidebars, you need to edit the template files in /sidebar_modules/.

  86. Knox added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    To Fix Avatar Problems:
    1) chmod777 both the avatars and user_uploaded folder
    2) find profile_center.php and find & edit ONLY the following codes

    {#PLIGG_Visual_Profile_AvatarResize#}

    more information can be found on the official pligg forums on this thread
    http://forums.pligg.com/showthread.php?t=5230

  87. Knox added these pithy words on 10 Apr 07

    admin please delete the code on my previous comment..
    the code did not show properly..
    how do you quote codes in the comment box?

  88. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 11 Apr 07

    Knox, if you want to format code, you use the tag.

    Thanks for the avatar fix!

  89. Dominik added these pithy words on 02 May 07

    Opps, finally, I was wrong. I talked about that template “Aqueous”. Sorry Robert.

    This one doesn’t work on my new pligg 9.5 version. And strangely, impossible to come-back in v9.1 (error with vote)

    Problems are only :
    - Impossible to vote (not work) Arggghhhh
    - order doesn’t work too
    - the link “Top story” on the sidebar has disappeared and not work…

    Otherwise, I modified plenty of things (CSS) to be clean on all browser (Safari, Opera, IE7…) and small bugs too (with “category link”… very strange).

    I can’t write you the URL here for the moment because my web is in beta version and I don’t want to be crawl at this moment ;) But, if you need, I could give you the URL in private.

  90. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 02 May 07

    Dominik, the new version of Pligg breaks this template. I hope to update it sometime next week. Thanks for your patience.

  91. Daniel R added these pithy words on 14 May 07

    Robert,

    Great looking template. I’m really looking forward to a Pligg 9.5 friendly version. I just installed Pligg 9.5.

    Thanks!

  92. GDFH added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    Hi, I can help you with this template. There are a lot of problems and bugs, but its 0.4 so its ok. There are problems with some links, and with voting. I have fixed some of them. Ajax does not work… I have to refresh the web with F5. But, I will try iy tomorrow…

  93. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    Thanks for the offer of help. But please understand that this template is NOT compaitble with the current version of Pligg. If you are making changes for it to work with the current version, you may be wasting your time. If you want to make your own version available, that’s fine with me. You can post a link here. I won’t be working on this anytime before v1.0 is released.

    Thanks again.

  94. GDFH added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    I’m using it with 9.5 version of pligg and it works now, except for the ajax voting. Ok, I understand :-/

  95. GDFH added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    Damn… I have tried to fix the voting system for 4 hours, and i can’t, ajax doesnt works. Can you help me a little? Im going to get crazy! >.

  96. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    I don’t mean to sound unsympathetic, but I warned you :(

    I’m really sorry. Normally, I’d be happy to help. But I already wasted a day and a half trying to clean this puppy up, which is why I decided to put it off until 1.0. I’m working on some other things now and I wouldn’t know where to begin. Sorry…

  97. GDFH added these pithy words on 15 May 07

    Ok, dont problem, but i would like to know, finally, the voting problem… it is caused by a programation error or because there’s something not compatible… if it is a programation error, i would like to try to fix it, for me, only for learning. Thanks.

  98. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 16 May 07

    The only thing I can suggest is to look at the yget template. If it’s working in yget, you should be able to get it to work in Aqueous. You’ll have to find the code for it and cut and paste. Good luck!

  99. Sam added these pithy words on 23 May 07

    Hi. Just wanted to say thanks for the very nice theme. I’ve modified it quite a bit and still use it under 9.1. I too will wait until Pligg v1.0 to upgrade my template (will have a custom one made). Thank you again very much for making this template available for free!

  100. Robert Ellis added these pithy words on 23 May 07

    Sam, thanks very much for your comment. You’re welcome! I looked at your site. Very nice mod!

    I can’t seem to find how to published unpublished stories, though.

    Thanks for your comment, but I can’t help you. Haven’t looked at it in months. This template is no longer supported. Sorry.

  103. Anthony added these pithy words on 11 Aug 07

    Understood.

    Are there currently any templates for pligg you still support?

  104. Upstart Blogger added these pithy words on 11 Aug 07

    I’m not supporting any of my Pligg templates currently. See Pligg Templates Update Status.

    When v1.0 is released, I’ll take another look.

  105. Aquabot added these pithy words on 28 Aug 07

    Thanks for this, but it looks verry big. How can i control the size of the fonts?

  106. Upstart Blogger added these pithy words on 28 Aug 07

    @Aquabot: You’ll need to edit the main.css file in the template CSS folder. Find the selector for the body and change this:

    font: 78.5%/1.6em

    to a larger size. The first number is the font-size and the second is the line-height.
