One of the myths about blogging is that in can take up too much time. Many people worry about not having enough time to write good content and, as a result, many don’t even start blogs or abandon potentially successful ones.
I’m going to show you how to write five good quality blog posts in under an hour without even trying. Sounds like blog voodoo I know, but it’s genuine, and something that I learned recently completely by accident.
All bloggers go on holiday from time to time. To keep their blogs momentum going the blogger faces a choice. Either employ a guest blogger or write the content in advance and set it to go out at specific times in the future by adjusting the Post Timestamp.
If you want to keep your blog solely under your own control the later is the preferred option.
In recent weeks there have been two occasions when my family have been away from home for a few days at a time. On both occasions I decided to write blog posts in advance. I knew I could access my blog from our remote location to moderate and reply to comments but, for no other reason than wanting to spend more time with my family, I didn’t want to write new content whilst away from home.
Furthermore, since both occasions occupied a similar position on the calendar it made sense that I write a batch of content, eight posts to be precise, in one go.
And that’s exactly what I did, in under an hour.
The first post took the longest but, for some reason the explanation of which is best left to a psychologist, the remaining blog posts, from inspiration to completion, flowed naturally into placed in the remaining time.
Either this is Parkinsons Law,the adage that work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion, at work or it is the creative side of the brain can work faster when it knows it has to.
I’m happy to admit that I don’t fully understand this phenomenon. But, like with many things, an understanding is not necessary for a benefit to be gained.
Want to increase your blogging speed? Make an appointment that you can’t and wouldn’t want to miss, like a day out with your family. Get up one hour early and in that hour write five blog posts.
Don’t think about whether or not you can do it. Just make sure you understand that you have to do it. Let the magic of your subconscious and the wonder of your brain do the rest.

Very nice dude.. I totally agree
To be clear:
“minimal effort” equals:
a) finding sufficient motivation
b) getting up an hour early
c) allowing the subconscious writing multiple posts in a short amount of time
So, basically, it’s just like writing any other blog post but in multiples.
Did you write this one with four others in under an hour? ;)
Lorien – Your description is correct but misses the point I was trying to make. If the brain knows it has a limited amount of time to complete a task it is possible that it will find a way. I don’t know why this is the case but, for me at least, it works.
Within reason, set yourself limits and you will find you can achieve more in a shorter space of time.
