One of my plans for Upstart Blogger in 2008 was the development and launch of a different kind of blog network. A better blog network, one that is designed to help independent bloggers in an open and friendly way that is conducive to successful and profitable blogging.
I’m now looking for a few good bloggers to join the new Upstart Blogger Blog Network which will launch at the beginning of February 2008. More specifically I am looking for bloggers who are independent, creative, passionate about their topic and willing to share information with others in the network. All network members will benefit from ongoing PR6 links to their blogs from Upstart Blogger, regular reviews of their blogs to push their traffic and exclusive members only wordpress themes.
Blogs on any and all topics are welcome, including personal blogs. I am particularly interested in hearing from new and aspiring bloggers as well as more established bloggers.
Interested? Leave a comment below with a link to your blog and I’ll be in touch.

I’m interested in being in a network. But I’d also like to know more about what type of blogs I would be associated with.
Cheers, Jesse
Sure, I’d be interested. I’m also interested to see the quality of the final blogs you pick - I’d like to think I’ve got the ‘passionate’ part, but maybe not the quality.
Would I have to switch to WordPress though? ;)
interested in trying to get my blogging career of the blocks :)
Jesse - Don’t worry, I’m only going to accept high quality blogs into the network. I’m not going to make up the numbers with filler blogs. I’d much rather grow the network slowly if high quality blogs are slow to apply. You’ll be in good company.
Josh - I’ve had a look at your blog and it seems high quality to me. With some more posts under your belt and an increase in post frequency I think you’ve got what it takes. And since you have a passion for your topic you are just the sort of blogger I’m looking for. As in my answer to Jesse, it is important to me to keep the quality of all the blogs high. You wouldn’t have to switch to wordpress unless you wanted to use one of the themes that I’m going to design for members. But, you’ve clearly got design skills so I doubt this is going to be of concern to you.
Bedfordbear - Do you have a blog I can see or are you about to start one?
just redseasound.com for now which i dont think is the kind of blog that needs to be on anyones hit list :) unless you want to buy property in Egypt :) but have other plans in the pipeline will private email you…
I have a personal blog, but I’ve been reading Upstart for awhile now. I’d love to be a part of the network. (I made that sound like you’re a cell phone company. ^_-)
I’d also be interested in that kind of network. My blog is personal and - probably a big disadvantage - written in German.
Hey there, I’d be interested, let me know what you think of my blog (such as it is.)
Hi Ashley. I’m interested as well. I love networks ;-)
I am interested. I have been blogging for a few years at http://ryanhealy.typepad.com. As of January 3, 2008, I have switched to www.ryanhealy.com, which is why you won’t see many posts there yet.
My site is about as “fresh” as they come. I’m about to make the first “real” post in a few minutes.
I would definitely be interested in joining the network though. If anyone could use a boost…
Hey Ashley, I’d be interested in joining.
My site is about what it’s like starting out as a young professional musician and I am very passionate about this!!
I’m just starting out as a blogger and I post nearly every day.
Hi, just wondering how this project is coming along because I am still very interested.
Hello Ashley - With my new blog I’m definitely interested in joining and contributing!
Ashley, I would love to be a part of the network. I run a blogged called AisleOne which focuses on graphic design, typography, grid systems, minimalism and modernism.

Sounds like the kind of network I’d be interested in. Would be interested to see what you have planned and if it will be different from other blog networks.
