Pligg Template: Upstart Blogger Future First
I had a request from someone to release the Pligg template I had been using for the Futurosity Grapevine. I’ll probably create a new template to match whatever theme I’m using on Futurosity when Pligg v1.0 is released, so I’m going to make this available for download now. But…
Warning: This template is not compatible with the current version of Pligg (I think I made it for Beta 9.1). This template is, frankly, a mess. I’m making it available as is (I’ve removed my stats code from the footer and that’s about it). I am not supporting this template. This template is NOT for beginners. There’s no README file. In short, you’re on your own.
I may or may not make a clean version of this template available in the future, but as long as you know what you’re getting in to, you’re free to download it and look under the hood. I assume you know what you’re doing, but here are a few tips:
- Do a search of all the files in the directory and locate the hard coded URLs for http://www.futurosity.com/. Obviously, you’ll want to delete these and replace them with your own.
- Do the same for AN Hosting. You’ll probably want to delete these. But if you’re looking for a host, please give them a look.
Here’s a preview (click to enlarge):
Oh, I’m calling this Upstart Blogger Future First because I can’t think of a clever name for it. Any suggestions?

This Pligg template is released under the Creative Commons Attribution v3.0, meaning you can do pretty much whatever you want with it, but you should (please) keep the link back to Upstart Blogger, either in the sidebar or the footer, so that it appears on every page of your site. You’re not going to remove the Pligg link are you?

Hey. I understand you are not offering support for this theme at all but I absolutely love it and want to use it.
I noticed it says its not compatible with the latest version of Pligg. Before I start testing out each version down to 9.1 can you tell me which version would be best to begin using it?
thanks
I am a moron and completely misread the note you left about the version being 9.1 . so nevermind. i’ll see if I can get this up and running.. thx again
OK, so I absolutely LOVE this theme, especially since I use upstart blogger for my blog :)
In any case, I’d pay to have someone make this work for my site, I’m using the current version of pligg.
|Can anyone help me out?
How about just letting me know what types of things might not work if I try to use the most current version of pligg?
Any advice, help, anything would be greatly appreciated. also, like I said, I can pay for help if needed.
