If you’re designing a web site or blog, you probably already know about validating your XHTML and CSS to find errors in your code. But what about evaluating your site for popularity, design, accessibility, and experience? But what about offering an easy way for visitors to rate your site? Enter Silktide SiteScore.
Enter your Web address and SiteScore runs a test on a selected number of pages (the default is 5). SiteScore ranks your site compared to all other SiteScores, then offers a Summary of marketing, design, accessibility, experience, and visitor ratings, along with an overall score. If visitors have rated your site, you’ll see a report of their feedback, followed by a summary of good and bad points and a detailed breakdown. Futurosity, for example, rates Very Poor on British legal requirements for accessibility (I’ve got a lot of work to do in this area). But SiteScore lets me pinpoint the problems by getting a detailed report of the errors.
SiteScore is a free service.
