I have found that I have a limitation when it comes to promoting my blog…TIME. Not only am I having to balance the amount of time I spend promoting my blog on Facebook and Twitter, connecting with other bloggers on group sites, and providing guest blogger content (ahem…) with my blog writing itself…I’m also trying to work full-time, raise a baby daughter, eat, sleep, and sometimes shower. I – by no means – am trying to use my blog as a get rich quick scheme. I know that getting people to click once on my link is good, but I want returning loyal readers. Those that will continue to come back so that each additional outreach effort is to obtain NEW readers rather than pull flighty visitors in for a hit-n-get browse.
I ask you Upstart readers – what has been the way you have found to get the most loyal readers?
Connecting with bloggers with similar interests? Tweeting nonstop flooding followers with messages? Giveaways that require that others post your info on their website/Facebook/Twitter? Targeted advertising? Being featured on other sites? Face to face interaction (*gasp*)? Something I haven’t mentioned???
I’m curious as to what others have found have the greatest cost:benefit ratio.
Thanks for comparing notes!

Meanwhile, take a look a this new management blog, TheMana.gr. The state of management in business is terrible now a days. With the theories and principles discussed at TheMana.gr you can get the essentials you need to develop as a leader and a manager.

Dear Upstart Blogger. I’m not doing this to sound mean to any of your new guest bloggerss – I’m sure they have fans and followers… but I don’t want to be one of them.
I’m unsubscribing. I think that their voice fits their blog’s voice but not here. This is not, what I was looking for and why I subscribed to your feed. Best of luck – to Upstartblogger and all the new people – I really do wish you success.
@bob Thanks for the good wishes. The changes had to happen, they really had to. Internet marketing is such a vile cesspool that something had to be done to pull Upstart Blogger away from it. The Ryan Deiss post a few days ago – wasn’t that classic Upstart Blogger enough for you?
It’s a real shame that some people don’t wan to stay since there is much planned. New WordPress themes, new writers, blog reviews and much more.
Before you go Bob share with us what you would like to see here and what would keep you onboard. Nothing is written in stone. Yes, the Upstart Bunnies are here to stay since they are Upstarts in the truest sense of the word, but this is evolution not revolution and everyone is welcome, and encouraged, to play a part in moulding that evolution.
Before you go for good, Bob, share with us what you like to read at Upstart Blogger.
thank you. i like site…
@teknospor – you made me smile this morning — thanks for that!
@bob – I appreciate your respectful comment! I hope you can let Upstart know how to continue to provide the content you desire in this new format, but if not I send my best wishes.
FYI Traffic has started to climb substantially since the bunnies came onboard.
I for one welcome our new alien overlords, I mean bunnies.
Am I the only one who has noticed the new design? Is the outgoing one (and the one before that, and the one before that now that I think about it) going to be released as a free WordPress theme?
@Mr Anderson Nice Simpsons reference.
@Bowman All of them will be released in the next few weeks including the current one.
