Share your new year blogging resolutions
The first Monday of the year is the time when most people get back in the saddle and there is no better way to get your blogging off to a flying start than to set a few targets or make a few new year blogging resolutions. With that in mind I’d like to share three blogging resolutions of mine with you.
1. Develop and maintain a more cohesive link between my blogging business and my music career. Managing multiple blogs is a lot easier and a lot more profitable when traffic is able to move freely, naturally and easily.
2. Create a structured and modular educational path for anyone wanting to learn more about successful blogging. This blog, the Inner Circle and the 30 Day Blogging Course are the keystones of this path. An additional keystone, Star Maker, will be added in the first quarter of 2009.
3. Solve the advertising riddle that has plagued the blogosphere for years. Find a way allow motivated bloggers to pay for traffic in the form of links and blog reviews whilst maintaining full credibility and integrity.
I have a feeling that number three will be the hardest nut to crack.
And now it’s your turn. What are your new year blogging resolutions?
Nice.
Ahem, okay. First, continue to balance a full-time job with writing outside of work. Second, get an agent and publisher for my first novel. Third, write a significant portion of a second novel.
And fourth, make a success of Write for Your Life, my new blog for writers who (see points one, two and three) have to balance their everyday lives with their writing.
happy new year mate !
i would like my new years resolutions to be something like starting a blog, and making good money from it.
But what advice would you have for those of us who really struggle with writing. I mean some people find even though they are only amateur writers, it comes quite naturally for them, while the rest of us struggle just leaving comments, let alone attempting to write for a blog. It takes me a week just to write an about me page, and it still turns out average.
What hope is there for people like me?
Perhaps writing small post or something…

To tap into more niche blogs to spread my wings and grow revenue which has been a struggle last year. Earned $2600 from google adsense in 2008 and intend reaching that figure per month.
When it comes to theme design, we won’t support IE 6 in 2009.
jmdesign – its possible to own a blog and yet don’t write yourself. outsource the writing to a skilled blogger, however be prepared to pay for that service. this will allow you time to work on growing your blog, while regular content is outsourced.
Continue to improve my writing and style
Increase my traffic to 1000 visitors
Continue increasing my income from blogging
Make a more professional marketing kit to promote myself to potential advertisers.
