Don’t believe 99% of what you read online. You don’t need to waste your money on ebooks or get rich quick schemes in order to make money on the internet. And don’t worry, I’m not going to make you sign up for anything or read any long drawn out pitch before I reveal the secret.

The secret to making money online is focus.

Sorry if you were expecting a more complicated solution, a magic ratio, some sort of tunnel or funnel system, or a list of high paying adsense keywords, but you really don’t need any of that junk.

Different people vist different websites for different reasons. Some people will be just browsing, just surfing around with no specific target in mind whilst others will be looking for specific things. Attracting the attention of the surfers and browsers with no target is very hard work since neither you nor they really know what they are looking for. Conversely, attracting the attention of those looking for specific things is the easiest thing in the world as long as you have the thing that are looking for.

The thing to remember here is that if you have a focussed blog with good content you already have what people are looking for. Not what everyone is looking for since you can’t please everyone all of the time, but every niche has its audience.

Whether you then choose to sell your own services or products to your readers or to recommend them to other services using advertising is entirely up to you. As long as what you are trying to sell is as tightly focussed as your blog and within the same niche the money will come.

If you have a blog about, for instance, fine watches, you would find it pretty simple to sell fine watches or fine watch related products and services to the people who visit your blog. The more passionate and knowledgable you are about your subject the easier it will be to generate income.

No tricks, no promise making ebooks, no funnels or tunnels and certainly no adsense junk, just focus. That’s the secret to making money online.
