The Way of the Samurai blogger
When one has made a decision to blog, even if it will be very difficult to succeed by advancing straight ahead, it will not do to think about doing it in a long, roundabout way. One’s heart may slacken, he may miss his chance, and by and large there will be no success. The Way of the Samurai blogger is one of immediacy, and it is best to dash in headlong.
A paraphrasing of one of the many perfectly quotable lines from Ghost Dog The Way of the Samurai.
It’s true. Once an idea forms procrastination is never conducive to success. Dashing in headlong will often bring about the desired result far more effectively.
Furthermore, making an announcement that something is going to happen, even a cryptic announcement, especially if that announcement is seen by a large of amount of people, will help to harden the resolve and force that immediacy.
And so, before this post disolves completely into metaphor, it’s time to add some flesh to its bones.
2 days ago I had an idea. I rushed in headlong, decided on a title, played around with some typography and established an identity for a project that is going to take me some time to complete. In 2 days time I will write a plan of action that will explain my motives and detail the steps I am going to take to ensure the success of the project.
It should come as no surprise that, like my other projects, this one will be driven and promoted with a blog and my usual repertoire of social media and blogging methodologies.
What is this project that has spurred me into such Samurai style action? If I’ve done my job correctly this graphic should give you all the clues you need.

Are you sure you haven’t just thought of a snappy title? Because I did that and then I had to go and write the whole bloody book. Still, it now has a literary agent. Go me. And you, all being well.
Last night I saw this and decided that it was a secret code. I didn’t stand on my head but only because I had just eaten my supper. Only now, perhaps because it’s a few hours earlier on in the day, do I know what it says.
You could, I suppose, decide to make it a little bit easier, by, say… I won’t give any examples actually because I’m only going on to say that it simply must be kept as it is. The difficult is good.
