Upstart Blogger wandered wide eyed and bushy tailed onto the internet over 6 six years ago and soon made a name for itself, releasing some of the best minimalist WordPress themes ever to have graced a blog. Traffic soon poured in and Upstart Blogger grew into something much bigger. A quick start guide to building, promoting, maintaining and profiting from a successful blog.
On several occasions during this 6 year period many bloggers have captained the good ship Upstart and even more have appeared as guest bloggers.
Now it’s time to give something back.
Upstart Blogger has a Google page rank of 7 and traffic to burn. And the reason we have traffic to burn is because we have a Google page rank of 7. Google page rank is leverage. Massive leverage.
We also have a very empty sidebar. A sidebar bristling with the kind of page rank power and Google juice that money simply can’t buy.
Before we go any further this is an open handed gesture of thanks, not an invitation to treat (in the legal sense) nor is it a thinly guarded attempt at link building. Link buying and selling is for the cheats and idiots of the online world and link building strategies are now, much to everyone’s frustration, the preferred tool of the internet marketer.
We digress. This isn’t the place to complain about how internet marketers have destroyed many useful and free resources with their $97 a month membership sites and $97 ebooks. After all, internet marketers are a dying breed, a race that will be mostly behind bars in the next 12 months as their price fixing, anti competition syndicate comes crashing down around their ears.
The Upstart Blogger alumni program is nothing more or less than a way to give something back to the people that have contributed to Upstart Blogger over the years.
If you have played a part in Upstart Blogger history as a contributor and would like a link in a very powerful sidebar email weareupstart@upstartblogger.com, tell us who you are, what part you played, or play, in Upstart Blogger’s ever evolving history and it will be our pleasure to link you up.
