I just wanted to say thanks! This has been the easiest theme for me to edit and I really appreciate it. All the others I have come across have given me headaches, especially since I barely know what i’m doing.

Hi
I love this theme – but im having a bit of trouble getting it going on my site.
All the columns are stacking ontop of eachother. I’m somewhat familiar with wordpress anatomy but I cant figure out where to start puzzling this out?

theSupermarket, the pink text is in the .entry p:first-child selector. Just open up style.css and change it to whatever you want, or delete that selector and the first paragraph will match the rest of the post.

I really like the theme and I am having a few issues and I would like to know if you can help… here’s the issue I’m having.

None of my sidebar widgets show up and thats pretty much the only problem. HELP!

Hi there – you’ve made a really wonderful template. I’m trying to use it on my site! I was trying to make the post title size larger, but now the spacing is all a little off, and the post info is posting without a line break after the text and I’m not sure why..

Sorry not sure I was clear in the above post. On my home page I want a link that takes you to into the blog. (I’m not showing any posts on the home page)

Right now I can only see the posts when I look at one of my PAGES – my posts show up on the sidebar under the widget “Recent Posts” but you have to click on them individually.

HOpe that makes sense , and that you know how to fix this!

Hi there, I’ve tweaked your theme to a point where I’m really happy with it! LOVE the theme and all the white space. I am using the static home page option, looks great!

HOWEVER: I cannot figure out how to put a link into the actual blog when using your home page option. I’ve got links to my individual PAGES (eg About page) but what do I need to do to set it up so they can see my daily POSTS?

If you can let me know that would be wonderful. Thanks a million!!!

Hi, I love this theme but having trouble with it. Maybe because I am using WP version 2.7?

I want a 2 column version that looks somewhat like this: http://www.houseandfig.com

(I want my sidebar on the left, posts on the right.)

PROBLEM: my posts are showing up on top of my sidebar.

Can anyone suggest how I can fix this?

Just a quick come back to say a few good news
I succeeded to
* fix the sidebar template, if any change just take your time and make it step-by-step
* use the excerpt loaded
* plugins : to avoid competition desactivate some in your dashborad WP or erase some lines in the sidebar

Now, i feel good to personalize more the css style sheet.

Again, thanks to you for this support which give the force to dive inside the code ;)
ps : comments are very useful for newbies

hello
I try to use this smart design theme. A few pb :
(WP 2.3)
Double widgets : widgets turn on and the embeded code in the sidebar.php
tag cloud and configurable tag cloud compete !
double comments
doubles latest posts.
I can of course, desactivate the widget (comment, post and CTc) but I find it better to use widget because of the personnalisation. Editing the sidebar and delete just zabout coment, tag cloud and latest post” and the sidebar.php went wrong after savint and upload….shame on me , I guess ?

In the post :
the previous posts have lost their links, the bold and specified colours…..
the form is not respected (§ or “puces”") not working. That really a pity :((

Editing the style : i have changed the colour of the font, saved, upload the php and nothing happened, still black. :(((

Any idea about the widgets ?

Great theme! I am using it on this new recipes blog and it looks amazing. I am new to wordpress and it took some time to figure everything out. Thanks for making it available. I was just wondering is there any way to edit or even remove the tag cloud from the side bar?

And one more noob question…

How do I change the M picture on the top?

Thank you for the great theme! I recently re-engineered my sight (basically-started from scratch) using your theme and I love it. It is coming along nicely and it shows well in firefox. Out of curiousity, I loaded it in IE7 and it looks terrible. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I apologize if you already answered this but there are many comments and replies and I haven’t read through them all yet.

Bonjour. Love your design. Am localizing it into French for a blog I plan to launch.

It has one major ergonomic flaw in my view (because I’m a usability nut).
- The links are not easily distinguished from the text
- There are at least 3 different link styles (post title / 2 styles in the new posts block in sidebar2 / third style in sidebar1).

I really want to use the design, but I can’t leave it as is.

So after some experimenting, I’ve settled on a simple solution (which isn’t great but is a lesser evil in my deranged opinion) : I underlined all the links using the following code on the “a” (kept your hover settings) :

border-bottom: thin solid #ccc;
padding-bottom: 1px;

I thought I’d let you know about my qualms since you’re the designer, and I’m sure you can come up with a better solution…

Great theme. Loves it.

I’ve got the same request as “APM” on 04 Aug 07. I’d really love to be able to use both the splash page AND the main index page – but (as you said) there isn’t really a simple way of doing it as far as I can work out.

Please consider this for future updates! For chronologically organised blogs, it’s important to have that main index page, but it’s such a shame to waste that awesome splash!

How can I change the formatting of the post title on the front page? Currently, it’s just bold, and the same size of the post text. But I’d like to increase the font size. Just can’t find the place to do it in the style sheet.
